Tucked away behind the popular Rocksalt restaurant, these "boutique boltholes" are completely unique.

They're a continuation of the restaurant – quaint interiorsare fitting for an old seaside town, with exposed brick walls and wrought-iron beds, but each still feels modern and fresh.

You'll be in the middle of town, so can head to the arty Creative Quarter, with local shops selling everything from gifts and decorations to vinyls and vintage clothing.

What is there to eat and drink at Rocksalt Rooms?

You’d be a fool not to eat at the Rocksalt restaurant, which has some of the best seafood in Folkestone.

The celeriac soup starter, with hazelnut, apple and truffle, is a highlight.

It’s hard to choose from the seasonal menu, with delicious chilli prawns with kimchi mayo, herb-crusted cod or the rich baked mussels.

Don’t worry if you aren’t a fish fan – there are meat options such as pork chops and steak, as well as vegetarian dishes.

If you can fit it in, finish it off with a dessert such as the plum frangipane tart for a sweet end to the meal.

Make the most of the top floor bar too which has happy hour every Friday with 25 per cent off drinks.

Each has a double bed or king-size, as well as Nespresso machines and complimentary toiletries.
