Sellout Polar Express railway ride & hotel stay from £129pp adds new dates for Xmas – but you'll have to be quick

NATIONAL HOLIDAYS has added extra capacity to its Christmas Polar Express breaks due to huge demand.

The magical experience includes a ride on the Polar Express train in Yorkshire with hot chocolate, cookies and even a gift from Father Christmas. And if you haven't yet booked, now's the time to bag a ticket before it sells out.

According to Travel Weekly, National Holidays has hired two full Polar Express trains in Yorkshire for extra capacity after reporting "unprecedented” demand from customers.

The coach tour company – part of the JG Group – said it has seen “phenomenal success” since the festive tours went on sale at the start of February.

Matt Herbert, sales and yield director at National Holidays, said: "When these breaks were released for sale, we saw business jump. Now the initial allocations have been sold out, the extra capacity of two trains has been added."

Families can book the experience, which includes an overnight stay in York, from £129 each for 2021, but you'll have to be quick with the popular experience often selling out.

Kids cost from just £103.20 each for the experience, meaning a family of four will pay £464.40 for the two-day trip.

Based on the 2004 film where a young boy embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole, kids can enjoy Christmas carols on board and are invited to wear their pyjamas onboard to get cosy.

Taking place in Yorkshire, the two-day trip also includes return coach travel across northern England depending on where you need to be picked up, as well as an overnight stay at a three-star hotel with breakfast and dinner included.

The rooms range from a twin room to a family room, so everyone can pile in after a long day to the North Pole.

Families can even visit York, which will be decked out with Christmas lights and decorations.
