The 'Airbnb of boats' lets you holiday on a luxury yacht – for as little as £126 per week

THINK that yachts are just for the rich and the famous? Think again.

A company called Borrow a Boat is offering Brits the chance to hire a luxury yacht out for as little as £126 per week.

An all-inclusive holiday to Croatia can come in at at least £500 per person for the week, and it wouldn’t normally include the use of a private yacht.

For those who want a change the company has a ten-person Lagoon 380 S2 yacht, docked at Biograd na Moru in the north of the country, that can be hired by up to ten people.

While the boat costs £200,000 to buy, it comes in at £1,260 for the week – which works out as £126pp split between ten passengers.

Plus you’ll have the freedom of where to go on the Croatian coast each day and which views to wake up to every day – which isn’t something you get in a regular hotel.

Another option is an Oceanis 331 yacht from Beneteau, moored at Port Varna in Bulgaria.

The yacht sleeps eight people and costs £1,449 per week, which works out as £181 per person for the week.

The company has 17,000 yachts to choose from, moored in 60 countries around the world, and they can be hired through its dedicated app.

While previous yachting experience will help, those that don’t have it can hire a skipper from £150 per day.
