The beautiful foreign beach you can reach by train in under an hour from the UK | The Sun
IF you fancy a holiday abroad without the long flights, there is a beautiful seaside less than an hour from the UK.
The beach city of Calais is just 50 minute from the UK – and you can get tickets for as little as £50 per car.
Eurotunnel has launched a promotion for Brits booking day trips to Calais.
With car tickets costing £50 return, this means you could travel to the French seaside for as little as £10 each, if there are five of you in the car.
The tickets are on sale until May 5th but can be used from April 18 to May 24.
But the best place to visit is the Calais seaside, with long rows of traditional beach huts and snack bars.
