GETTING the balance right between relaxation and entertainment on a family holiday can be tricky.

That's why holiday parks are a great option for families with children, as they're usually based in great locations and have plenty of on-site entertainment to stop kids getting bored.

What's more, a good range of children's entertainment can spare the adults from getting frazzled on holiday so they can relax, too.

We've found the best holiday parks with plenty to keep kids entertained.

There are parks by the seaside and in peaceful woodland settings, and in popular holiday hotspots like Cornwall and Devon.

Many have indoor or outdoor pools, soft play areas and activities and entertainment for all the family.

Haven Devon Cliffs, Exmouth, Devon

Head to South Devon and stay at Haven Devon Cliffs, where families have direct access to a beautiful sandy beach that also has a cafe terrace for long, relaxed lunches.

Close to some of Kent’s best beaches and the wildlife-filled Romney Marshes, there's loads to do at this park.

Adventurous and energetic children will love Hafan y Mor in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
