A HIDDEN beach in the UK is finally reopening to the public after being closed for three years.
Watcombe Beach in Torquay was forced to close back in 2020 after access to the beach was blocked off by storms and flooding.
The tiny bay is surrounded by cliffs, with the only way down by steep concrete steps.
The beach was then closed in February 2020 with the steps collapsing even more since.
However, the local council has since been given funding from the government to put into local projects, which will be used to restore access.
Part of the £1.7million fund given to Torbay Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) will go towards creating a new access point, according to local media.

The restoration hopes to allow the beach to reopen in time for summer.
During the summer months, there are toilets and a cafe open to the public – and even a resident seal that can sometimes be spotted.
There is a nearby car park and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round.
Previous visitors will be keen to return with many calling it a "hidden gem" on TripAdvisor.
