IF THE Great British Summer gets the green light, then UK campsites are set to be a popular choice for holidaymakers.

With trips abroad remaining uncertain, Brits are instead staying closer to home with staycations that offer flexibility and plenty of space.

Campsites are popular every year during the peak summer months, but in 2021, they're set to be even more booked up than usual.

However, Brits who've yet to book can still find cheap deals, with pitch spots starting from just £4 a night.

Some of the best deals are:

  • Campsites through Booking.com from £15 a night
  • Camping & Touring with Breakfree Holidays from £10 a night
  • Touring and Camping holidays with Haven from £9 per pitch a night
  • Touring Caravan Sites & UK Campsites with Park Holidays from £25 a night
  • Touring & Camping Holidays with Away Resorts from £4 per pitch a night
  • Touring & Glamping with Park Leisure Holidays book from £43 a night
  • Pitchup.com from £6 per pitch a night

Back in September, UK campsites were already reporting that some locations were selling out for summer 2021.

Camping website Pitchup.com recently reported that its outdoor holidays exploded in popularity last year, with one booked up to every three secondsand they even had 6,500 bookings in a single day.

Dan Yates, founder of Pitchup.com said: "It looks like this summer will again be mostly domestic and particularly outdoor holidays."

"Whilst many cottage companies may have sold out, many people seem to forget that outdoor accommodation accounts for 65% of UK non-serviced bed spaces – of which there are still plenty. A quick search on our site shows there are currently 791 locations available in England for the week of July 31 to August 7."

While you can't travel abroad right now due to the UK lockdown, banning all non-essential travel, many Brits are getting a holiday planned for summer.

There are lots of travel deals for those looking to stay in the UK, including holiday parks that are offering huge bargains, UK holiday parks with children’s entertainment and holiday parks with outdoor pools.

There are great UK coach trips for families, cheap quirky homes to rent, cheap spa breaks, cheap staycation breaks with hot tubs and Bridgerton-inspired stays.
