The UK's oldest theme park launches new ride where guests feel like they're falling off cliff into the sea | The Sun

THE oldest theme park in the UK has launched a brand new ride – and it makes you feel like you're falling into the sea.

Blackgang Chine, on the Isle of Wight, is celebrating it's 180th anniversary this year.

To celebrate, they have revealed their brand new ride Extinction right next to the seaside.

The pendulum swing throws passengers high into the air, while doing full 360-degree vertical rotations.

The ride is the first of it's kind, as it's right on the cliff edge – so only the brave should ride it – and will be the largest within the park.

The theme park celebrates its 180th anniversary this year.

The theme park's only rollercoaster, Cliffhanger, closed last year.

Tickets start from £25, but you can return for free within seven days of your first visit, in case you don't get to do everything you wanted.

Another theme park in the UK is home to the oldest rollercoaster in the UK.

Dreamland, in Margate, has the wooden Scenic Railway rollercoaster, which first opened in 1925.

One local said the theme park was 'once even better than Disneyland Paris'.
