These car-themed hotels are the perfect place to stay next time you hit the road

Just when you thought hotels couldn’t get any more niche, Hyundai has opened one powered by an electric car.

But it’s far from the only car-themed hotel to park up for the night.

From spa stays mixed with off-road races to adult-sized car beds, check out the best places for petrolheads to sleep over.

Hotel Hyundai, Epping Forest, Essex

While most drivers probably think no further than using the cigarette lighter or USB socket to charge their phone, Hyundai is thinking much bigger than that. It has opened the first hotel with all the power supplied from an e-car.

The luxury cabin has room for two guests and comes with an outdoor cinema, barbecue (meals are cooked by a private chef), outdoor bar and lounge views of the forest.

The experience is powered through Hyundai’s IONIQ 5’s Vehicle-to-Load technology.

Launched by food broadcaster Grace Dent, the hotel comes as research revealed 44% of holidaymakers would like to go on more staycations in 2023 compared to 2022. They cited sustainability (25%), supporting local businesses (27%) and stress-free travel (27% as among the reasons.

As far as one-of-a-kind hotel experiences go, this sounds pretty special. To be in with a chance of winning a stay, visit kiphideaways.com/hideaways/hotel-hyundai. Guests will be able to stay until November 5.
