What's new at Butlin's this year – including Peppa Pig and Thomas the Tank Engine shows

BUTLIN'S will be welcoming guests again from May 17, and has announced new shows and attractions as part of the grand opening.

The three resorts – Bognor Regis, Skegness and Minehead – will all be opening from next month, each with a brand new 860-seat indoor entertainment venue for the live shows.

The Saturday night show includes names such as X-Factor’s Fleur East and Max & Harvey, along with a new ‘The Diversity Games’ show featuring the famous street dance troupe.

Younger guests can watch Peppa Pig and her brother George on stage in another new mini-show, along with a live ‘Thomas’ Race Day’ show for Thomas The Tank Engine fans.

The venues have been designed to allow social distancing, so families can watch the shows while following restrictions.

Also at the park, the swimming pools will also be reopened along with the lazy rivers, slides and rides which are all included in the holiday.

New measures guests can expect are one-way systems, as well as visitor capacity on the rides.

A new Butlin's app will also be required for families to prebook pool sessions and activities.

Also opening from May 17 are the other attractions at Butlin's including the fairgrounds, bowling alleys and go-kart tracks and the many restaurants and cafes.

Families who want to book a trip to Butlin's are also covered by their new Butlin's Promise.

This includes "no-quibble refunds" if the trip has to be cancelled due to government restrictions or you no longer feel safe to visit, as well as free date changes three days before travelling and £10 deposits.

Off-peak breaks start from £155 while peak season breaks start from £275, and you can already book in breaks for Christmas and February 2022 half term.

Haven has already opened a number of their holiday parks but with some restrictions still in place until May 17.

Here are some last minute holiday park deals for April and May, starting from just £69pp.

UK holidays can go ahead now, as lockdown restrictions were eased yesterday – with hotels to open from next month.
