You can now get paid to go on rides at Drayton Manor Resort | The Sun

A THEME park in England is offering one family the chance to get paid to try out its rides.

The dream job, for some at least, is available at Drayton Manor Resort in Staffordshire, who are hiring a thrill-seeking family to "live like a Viking" for the day, in exchange for cash.

The park is offering £500 to the fortunate family, to celebrate the launch of its brand-new Vikings area.

The candidates will be given the chance to try out a host of new rides and attractions, all inspired by ancient gods and legends.

They include the spinning Disk’O Coaster, Thor, and Loki, which is the first of its kind in the UK.

The highly-anticipated ride will send thrill-seekers soaring to new heights, with the official Drayton Manor website promising the ride will offer "a truly hypnotic experience from both the sky and ground."

A viral clip of the ride in action has already amassed over 1.1million views after it was uploaded to Drayton Manor's social accounts last week.

The newly appointed Vikings will also be offered barbecue food from new eatery Walhalla, a restaurant inspired by the historic heaven that warriors were said to visit after battle.

They will then spend the night in the resort’s new Vikings themed rooms in the onsite 4-star hotel, which feature traditional wooden panelling embellished with shields and paintings of ancient voyages.

The next day, they will get an English breakfast before being granted access to the park again, as part of the resort’s Stay & Play package.
