You can soon stay at a Willy Wonka-inspired hotel room – with real lickable wallpaper

CHOCOHOLICS can soon live out their dream as a new Willy Wonka themed hotel room is launching in the UK.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1971 film, the hotel room will feature all kinds of sweet treats and experiences.

Inside the room will be the iconic lickable wallpaper which in the film featured flavours such as apples and grapes. (although will be changed between guests for health and safety).

Guests will enter the room with a "golden ticket" key card and will be treated to a chocolate fountain with fruit and marshmallows as well as jars of gobstoppers, chocolates and sweets.

For ultimate decadence – you can even request a bath filled with liquid chocolate.

Other Willy Wonka themed treats include chocolate-scented toiletries and a purple robe and slippers resembling the blazer worn by Wonka himself,

You can book the room for £200 a night, perfect for couples, while the liquid chocolate bath will cost you another £150.

Dates are yet to be revealed but is expected to open for bookings later this month.

If you can't quite stretch to that, you can still enjoy some sweet treats at the hotel.

The new room is at The Chocolate Hotel in Bournemouth, which featured on an episode of Interior Design Masters.

Guests can learn how to make chocolate – a 90 minute truffle making class costs just £45 (including 20 truffles to take away).

Other classes include chocolate portrait painting, chocolate shoe making as well as chocolate and wine tasting.
