A TEENAGER has been killed and a man seriously injured in a savage attack outside a cinema in Derbyshire.

The 17-year-old who has not been named, died at the scene despite attempts to save him.

Derbyshire Police said officers and ambulance crews were called to an alleyway at the side of the Odeon cinema in Swadlincote, just before 10.40pm on Saturday.

Another 20-year-old man was also found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he was in a stable condition.

A murder investigation has been launched and an area around The Pipeworks retail and leisure park will remain closed off for most of the day while further inquiries are carried out.
