Vile grooming gang drugged and continually raped vulnerable teenage girl – attacking her at school and her home

A GROOMING gang has been convicted of drugging and continually raping a vulnerable teenage girl.

The girl was even raped in a primary school playground and one of the men climbed up a drainpipe and into her bedroom at her dad’s house.

Banaras Hussain, Mohammed Akram, both 44, and 41-year-old Talish Mahmood Ahmed have now been convicted of abusing the girl in Huddersfield between 1995 and 1998.

Prosecutor Kate Batty told the jury the young girl who was deliberately targeted by older men who wanted to use her for their own sexual purposes from the age of 13, Yorkshire Live reports.

The vulnerable girl with low self-esteem was the daughter of an abusive single mother and was bullied in school, she told Leeds Crown Court at the start of the men’s trial.

The men struck up a conversation with her and groomed her, including giving her cigarettes, vodka, special brew lager and drugs, and she was soon “intoxicated most of the time”.

Teenager was treated as an “object” said the prosecutor and her routine consisted of “being touched or groped or having sex on grubby mattresses on the floors of flats and houses”.

Hussain, who was convicted of two counts of rape, was aged 19 and married at the time he groomed girl.

The pair had sex twice a week over a period of around a year or so, usually in the woods or in a primary school's playground, his trial was told.

Akram was also aged 19 and in a relationship at the time he is accused of first abusing the complainant.

Jurors were told that he had been present in the playground and in flats or houses where the girl was taken to be abused.

The prosecutor said Akram first raped the girl on an airbed in a flat when she was 15.

His girlfriend was asleep next to them on the airbed when it happened.

On a second occasion, when she was still 15, she was at her father's house when he climbed up the drainpipe and into her bedroom.

He was convicted of two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault.

Ahmed was convicted of raping the girl in a car in which they were both passengers after their drinks had been spiked.

"Once they were finished with her, she was dumped, thrown out of the taxi at the end of her street with her knickers and trousers round by her ankles,” said Mrs Batty.

"They couldn’t even be bothered to help her get dressed again."

She described the incident as the “final straw” and “the offence he committed against her marked the end of her abuse".
