Gaz Beadle has shared an adorable list of things to bring wife Emma McVey as she recovers in hospital following major heart surgery.
The former Geordie Shore star shared the list of things to bring for the hospital visit, saved as a note in his phone, which included things such as a photo album, a card from their daughter Primrose, three, and a love heart gift from son Chester, five.
Gary, 34, also intended to treat his wife with some "baking stuff" and some pegs to pin up some of her favourite photos to her bedside.
He captioned the post "our list for hospital visit today" with three heard emojis, tagging his wife in the photo.
The TV star confirmed Emma was taken to hospital to have two holes fixed and a valve mended in her heart. Posting an update to Instagram, he said it was "very important to show the hard times not just the good stuff", admitting "this is the hardest thing our family will ever go through" in a candid post to followers.
Gaz added that Emma was told the news one of her lungs had collapsed and is now on oxygen. He also said that the kids "have been so brave but also cried" – saying they've been "emotional wrecks" at bed times and mornings.
The former reality star praised his wife, too, saying she was "just amazing", is "smashing it" and the family "are so proud".
In 2021, Emma, now 30, revealed that she had been diagnosed with three large holes in her heart, and that she would need to undergo open heart surgery to fix the defect.
Gaz has been open about the stress over the past few days, taking to Instagram to share his thoughts and worries as his partner is in hospital.
He posted on Tuesday saying that he had a "very hard very stressful very emotional day", adding "crazy what life throws at you sometimes, big day for our family tomorrow, night" along with a praying emoji.
But he has since kept his followers in the loop, confirming Emma's surgery "went amazing and all to plan", fixing the valve without having to have a replacement – as well as fixing the large hole and two smaller holes.
He added: "She is awake and in recovery, in a lot of pain but talking and good. Now it's about recovery and making sure she gets back to full fitness over the next few months.
"Thank you to everyone who has been messaging."
He also shared a photo of Emma wearing some pink pyjamas and had an oxygen mask on her face – but still managed to smile as she clutched a towel to her chest.
