Former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas has shown off the incredible results of 12 weeks of "intense training" as he prepares takes part in new ITV show, The Games.
Dad-of-two Ryan, 37, who has a third child on the way, flaunted off his six-pack and toned torso as he posed in the gym in just a pair of tight blue shorts, and a wooly hat.
Ryan will go head-to-head with 12 other super-fit celebs in a range of sporting challenges as part of the series which airs for the first time on Monday night.
The six male and six female contestants will compete in the athletics arena, the swimming pool, gymnasium and velodrome with the hope of racking up points on the medals table and eventually being crowned Champion of The Games.
Those taking part in the show, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Andrew Flintoff, include current Corrie star Colson Smith, Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman, author, model and National Autistic Society ambassador Christine McGuinness, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini and Emmerdale actor Rebecca Sarker.
Love Island stars Olivia Attwood and Wes Nelson, influencer – and daughter of Spice Girls star Mel B – Phoenix Gulzar-Brown, ex-Strictly professional Kevin Clifton, The Wanted's Max George, and songwriter Chelcee Grimes will also feature.
As well as live coverage of the events from London's Crystal Palace, ITV has said each episode will feature the celebrities' preparation as they're taught a number of different sports from scratch.
Ahead of the show, Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw in Corrie from 2000 to 2016, says he can't wait to get going and has thanked his personal trainer for helping him to prepare.
"The wait is finally over & what a journey it’s been 12 weeks of intense training learning 9 different athletic sports with some of the best coaches in the country", he said on his Instagram page.
"With a massive thank you to my pt @michaelevansfitness preparing me mentally & physically for this challenge we worked so hard being dedicated to the routine, diet & determination. Tune in live tonight 9pm every night this week on @itv 1 @thegamestv."
Ryan's family members were among those to shower him with praise for his incredible transformation.
His fiancee, former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, who is currently pregnant with the couple's second child, said: "While I've been getting fatter, he's been getting fitter! Haha.
"Very proud fiancé watching him work so bloody hard training in nine sports for @thegamestv and also adding extra training on top of that & sticking to a stricter diet than normal.
"Then on his "rest days" & evenings taking the kids out and helping with daddy duties!
"It's taken a lot of will power and determination these last 12 weeks & I couldn't be more proud of him!
"The first LIVE show is tonight at 9pm on ITV1" she added. "Can't wait to watch with my tub of ice-cream."
Brother Scott Thomas said: "Shape on the lad!!! Let's goooooo big bro."
Whilst fellow contestant Maz George said: "Unbelievable work mate. So proud of ya. You've got this."
Ryan said earlier today his participation in the show could be thrown into the air if Lucy, who is due to give birth imminently, went in labour, telling This Morning: "Fingers crossed I get to the end of it, I can finish and complete it and move on to the next chapter of our lives."
