Aldi’s Royal Family book sparks debate as Harry and Meghan aren’t at centre

A fun puzzle book about the British Royal Family has shocked shoppers due to the controversial front cover illustration.

The unusual placement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was noted on the book which was spotted in an Australian Aldi store.

Now sought after as a collector’s item, the book has sparked an online meltdown in the wake of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's headline-making interview with Oprah Winfrey last week.

The book titled “Where Are The Royal Family” costs $4.99 AUD (£2.77) and mirrors the format of a Where’s Wally book.

Readers must find the members of the monarchy hidden within the book.

But, eagle eyed fans noted that the Prince and Duchess were cut from the group of senior royals grouped together in the centre of the cover and places on separate sides of the group.

Pictured in the centre of the cover are the Queen, Prince Phillip, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince Charles.

Whereas, Meghan and Harry are peering out from the crowds outside of the family.

On the Aldi Mums Facebook group, one woman said: “Now available in Aldi. I got mine for only $5!”

And, the post caused friction in the comments section.

One joker said: “I'd have a bad urge to cut them out and place them in random places around the house for people to find.”

While others claimed they’d seen the book once in their local shop but hadn’t been able to find them again.

Others commented on the omission of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, from the group – instead she was hidden away in the top left corner.

Plus, Prince Andrew was difficult to spot although Queen Victoria made an appearance alongside Henry the Eighth.

“I don't see Princess Diana,” another shopper noticed.

And, its not the first special edition book of its kind to be seen at the supermarket.

One fan added: “I had the Kardashian one last time Aldi had them.”

Daily Star has contacted Aldi for comment.
