The 1997 James Cameron classic, begins and ends with an elderly version of Kate Winslet’s character Rose (played by Gloria Stuart) aboard a treasure hunting boat searching for a necklace with one of the world’s rarest diamonds.
As the film ends, it’s revealed that Rose had the necklace the whole time and she throws it overboard to be laid to rest with dead lover Jack (played by Leonardo DiCaprio).
Nobody saw her do this in the original version of the film, but the deleted scene rewrites this part of the plot so the whole crew can see her throw away the priceless jewel.
Absurdly, Rose places the necklace in the hands of Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton), the treasure hunter who was searching for the necklace – who seems all too happy for her to throw it away.

‘Let me hold it in my hand just one time,’ he says, before quickly smiling and happily accepting that it’s being chucked into the ocean.
‘You look for treasure in the wrong places, Mr Lovett. Only life is priceless, and making each day count,’ she tells him.
Once it’s gone, he looks up to the sky with maniac laughter, and then points at another crew member who berates Rose shouting: ‘That really sucks, lady!’.
Brock then asks Rose’s granddaughter to dance.

Fans thought the clip was hilarious, was many saying it would have ruined the film.
‘I’m absolutely losing it at “The real treasure is life itself”. Such a rich white lady thing to say,’ one Twitter user said.
‘I wish I never saw this. This is so bad it’s like a parody,’ added another.
‘Do you think with that ending it still would’ve won best picture and 11 Oscars?’ questioned another.
‘I really didn’t like the present day parts of the movie, but this is somehow worse.,’ said another.
