Amazon Black Friday 2018 deals to run for TEN days – here's how to find the best offers

AMAZON has announced a massive TEN day Black Friday sale again this year.

Once again the online retail giant is giving early access to Amazon Prime members as well as offering discounts on thousands of products.

The Black Friday sale will run from 00:01 Friday 16 November until midnight on Sunday 25 November.

Amazon plans to offer a new "deal of the day" across all the ranges – including electricals, toys, fashion, sportswear, beauty and home items – everyday.

Lightening deals will run on thousands of products for a short time period, usually just a couple of hours, with new offers coming up as often as every five minutes.

Amazon Prime members will get 30-minute early access to lightening deals.

Prime memberships costs £79 a year but you can sign up for a free 30-day trial.

How to make sure you get the best deal on Amazon Black Friday

WITH just over a month before Christmas Day, you’ll want to make sure that you’re getting the best deal online when it comes to buying presents. Here’s how to get the best deals on Amazon:

  • Check CamelCamelCamel to check the product's price history to see if you really are getting a good deal, or whether you could get a better one later if you held out. You can also set up price alerts to let you know when the cost drops.
  • Use FakeSpot to check whether the item is genuine or not. The site scans the reviews to see if they're "reliable" or not so you can decide whther you trust the seller.
  • Sign up to the 30 day Amazon Prime trial to take advantage of the Lightning Deals and free delivery. But remember to cancel the subscription before the trial is up or you'll be charged the full £79.
  • Put the items you want in your basket ahead of Black Friday so that when the deals drop on November 24, all you'll have to do is pay.

But remember, if you do sign up to a free trial to make the most of the deals you'll need to cancel the subscription before the trial period is up or you'll be charged the full subscription fee.

The top selling items last year included the Echo Dot, Call of Duty WWII, Bad Dad by David Walliams, and Finish Lemon Dishwasher Tablets.

We've rounded up the top offers to look out for on Amazon this Black Friday.

Every year, hundreds of retailers cut prices for Black Friday but this year some chains are expected to shun the massive shopping event in favour of lower prices all year round.

B&Q has already said that it won't be doing it this year and Asda has shunned the event for several years after footage of shoppers fighting over products went viral a few years ago.
