A baby girl was adorably confused when she met her mother’s identical twin sister for the first time — but she knew exactly which one was her mom.

Reddit user Viewer4038 captured the heartwarming moment and posted the footage on the r/MadeMeSmile subreddit. It was later shared on Twitter, where it has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.

At the start of the video, the baby is sitting in her high chair, her back facing away from the hallway, when her mom walks into the room.

She immediately lights up as her mother leans in and says, ‘Hi, baby girl!’

The infant is still smiling when her aunt walks in, but she is visibly confused

The infant is still looking at her mom when her aunt comes in. The smile is frozen on her face as the confusion sets in, and she looks back and forth at her mother and aunt.

The baby is staring at her mother while her aunt affectionately rubs her head.

‘She’s a little confused,’ the baby’s father says from behind the camera.

‘That’s your titi,’ the mom explains to her daughter. ‘She looks just like mommy. Does she look like mommy?’

The baby has a smile on her face as she looks at her mother and aunt, and while she still seems a bit baffled, she can clearly tell which one is her mother.

The clip ends with her aunt giving her a sweet kiss on the head.

Reddit user Viewer4038, who is believed to be the baby’s father, explained in the comments that his wife’s twin sister lives across the country and first met her niece when she was two weeks old.

He added that this was their ‘first time meeting since then,’ and the baby ‘had it figured out in a few seconds.’

Reddit users were delighted by the footage, which was also shared on Twitter, earning over 1.5 million views

The Reddit post has earned more than 1,000 comments since the video was shared last month and many viewers were delighted by the footage.

‘That kid’s entire perception of reality was thrown into a loop,’ one person wrote.

‘Too cute!! Baby’s brain is overloaded right now. It is slowly processing this massive information. She is wondering if more mommies will come now,’ another added.

‘That is so cool lol. She knew which was her mom,’ someone else pointed out.

The video also inspired other twins to share their own stories about their nieces’ and nephews’ reactions to their appearance.

‘Haha! I am an identical twin as well and when my first nephew was little and I was holding him he kept looking at me with SO much confusion and kept looking between my sister and I trying to figure out why I LOOKED like Mom and kinda SOUNDED like Mom but wasn’t Mom,’ one woman shared.

‘I’m an identical twin (F) and this brought back great memories with my niece and nephew. I can totally relate to this,’ another added.

The commentary was similar on Twitter, where fans joked about how happy the baby was to have ‘two mommies.’
