If you’re a Capricorn, you might be used to telling people your sign tentatively to avoid judgement. However, the actual traits of Capricorn are pleasant and admirable… So why are they so hated by every other zodiac sign?

Zodiac shaming is a real thing, and some people simply can’t stand Capricorns.

The goat is the ambitious, sensible father-figure of the zodiac, so why do people typically dislike them?

Is it really Capricorn people as a whole or is it a case of a few Caps ruining it for the others?

Express.co.uk chatted to astrologer Francesca Oddie (@francescaoddieastrology on Instagram) to find out why Capricorns are so underrated.

Even though you might think everyone hates Capricorns, this obviously isn’t true.

Francesca said: “Capricorns aren’t hated, but they’re quite bossy and controlling.”

The astrologer pointed out that people often think the sign’s ruler, Saturn, is to blame.

The astrological adage “Saturn is Satan”, therefore, could be the reason why people don’t like poor, old Capricorn.

Your planet ruler is intrinsically linked with your sign’s traits – so, Capricorns are influenced by Saturn.

Saturn connected with authority, responsibility, structure, boundaries, discipline, limits, endings and time.

All of these things reflect how sensible and driven Capricorns are, and this can be interpreted as a good thing or bad thing.

Capricorns like to be in control of themselves and everyone else, so they’re bossy and have excellent willpower.

They don’t like anything in excess and find people who are ‘over the top’ in any way to be unbearable.

This also means they tend not to be heavy drinkers or people who binge on junk food, and if they live that kind of lifestyle, they will easily become depressed or spiral out of control.

Capricorn’s sober nature can come across as ‘boring’ to some people.

If you like spontaneity, you probably don’t want to hang around structure and plan-loving Capricorn.

While Capricorns are very clever and competitive, they are more concerned with tradition and morals than thinking outside of the box or breaking rules.

If none of these traits seem like your cup of tea, that’s probably why you don’t like Capricorn people.

Taurus, Virgo and Cancer typically admire or understand Capricorn’s ways, whereas the fire and air signs, as well as Scorpio and Pisces, won’t normally gravitate towards Capricorn.

Equally, Capricorn won’t enjoy the company of those signs either – unless they have some Capricorn or earthy placements in their chart.
