It appears love is in the air at Wimbledon this year, with a number of celebrities unafraid to show off their relationships with passionate public displays of affection.

Cara Delevingne put on a stylish display as she attended the tennis competition on Monday, and appeared unable to keep her hands off her girlfriend Minke as they watched the action.

The model, 30, looked chic in a beige jacket which she teamed with black leather trousers as she kissed her partner in the stands where she also larked about, pulling faces.

But she’s far from the only star who has thrown etiquette to one side as she attended the prestigious sporting competition in SW19.

Romeo Beckham, Orlando Bloom and Alexa Chung were all spotted getting hot under the collar at the event this year.

But British etiquette expert Laura Akano said public displays of affection should be ‘avoided completely’ at the contest.

The founder of polishedmanners.co.uk said: ‘Excessive PDA in public is not just a breach of etiquette at Wimbledon, it will apply anywhere.

‘This type of behaviour is often seen as attention seeking and can make people around uncomfortable.

‘Spectators should act with decorum and keep heavy petting to a minimum.

‘Etiquette means thinking about others and making them feel comfortable around you.

‘An event like Wimbledon demands a good standard of behaviour from everyone attending, public displays of affection should be kept to a minimum or avoided completely.’

Romeo Beckham and his model girlfriend Mia Regan appeared a little distracted as they watched the action on Centre Court at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The couple were pictured putting on an affectionate display as they kissed one another in the stands on day nine of the tennis championships.

The 20-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham looked happier than ever as he kissed Mia, also 20, on the cheek, nuzzled into her neck and snapped selfies.

Alexa Chung and Tom Sturridge also showed off their passion for one another while watching the tennis

Meanwhile Romeo Beckham and his girlfriend Mia Reagan put on a close display at the event this week

The lovebirds arrived at Wimbledon with Romeo’s grandmother Sandra, who is David Beckham’s mother.

The footballer showed off his tattoos in a black V neck shirt and black trousers, with a slightly flared hem.

Meanwhile Alexa Chung looked as loved up as ever as she exchanged a kiss with her boyfriend Tom Sturridge in the stands.

The TV presenter, 39, looked sensational in her classy attire as she donned a tan shirt with denim jeans.

Meanwhile singer Katy Perry, 38, and Hollywood star Orlando Bloom, 46, showed off their passionate relationship as they attended last week.

They occupied seats at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, where they were seen sharing kisses and taking selfies while waiting for the action to begin.

The historic tennis championship, now underway in London, are noted for their code of etiquette that all spectators are required to observe. For first-time attendees, knowing the rules of the tournament is especially crucial.

But in terms of official etiquette at the competition, there is nothing to state that spectators can’t pack on the passion during sets.

Cheering in the middle of rallies is strictly forbidden, as is calling out players’ names before they’re about to serve. Cheering after the point has been played, however, is allowed at the tennis tournament.

Moving around the courts is also regulated strictly, as spectators can only leave their seats until after the third game of the set and when the players change sides. Spectators are only allowed to return to their seats until those times as well.
