You star Ambyr Childers has opened up about her ‘destructive’ marriage to ex-husband Randall Emmett and the ‘difficult’ process of continuing to co-parent their two daughters with him after he faced shocking accusations of pedophilia.

The 35-year-old spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about the toll that the allegations have taken on her daughters London, 12, and Rylee, nine, as the sordid claims continue to swirl around her film producer ex.

In the candid chat, the actress admitted she was having a ‘really difficult time’ but was determined ‘to do what is best’ for her children.

Ambyr also revealed that although her friendship with Lala Kent – with whom Emmett also has a child – ‘has not always been easy,’ the Vanderpump Rules star continues to ‘inspire’ her.

Asked about how her relationship currently was with her ex-husband, the actress said it was important to ‘talk only about the children’

Emmett was previously forbidden from contacting her unless it is was a ‘brief and peaceful interaction’ about visitation for London (pictured in 2013) and Rylee

Ambyr spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about the current arrangement with 52-year-old Emmett.

She revealed: ‘We have different parenting ways and you go through leaps and valleys. Some months are really good and some months are really, really bad.

‘I’ve had a really difficult time co-parenting but I’m not going to give up. I’m going to continue to work on the relationship and to do what’s best because it’s for my kids.

‘So at the end of the day my kids will always come first, and with that in mind it makes co-parenting a lot easier whether I’m disagreeing or agreeing, or whatever I’m fighting for in the moment. My kids will always come first.’

Asked about how her relationship currently was with her ex-husband, the actress said it was important to ‘talk only about the children’ and ‘keep everyone accountable.’

Ambyr, who appeared in You as Joe’s ex Candace Stone, continued: ‘It’s hard and sometimes I just explain to my kids that two homes are sometimes better than one, right?

‘Those are hard, hard moments and your kids at different stages of divorce will come and ask questions or they’ll hear things.

‘That’s been the hardest part for me – knowing how to protect my kids but also to teach them how people should treat other people. Teach them that if you just lead with love and kindness and respect, that’s all we need. That’s all we need in the world. But some people don’t get that.’

Ambyr and Emmett wed in 2009 and were married for eight years but the fallout from the divorce has proved to be acrimonious.

In October 2022, Ambyr first filed for a domestic violence restraining order against the film producer in Los Angeles County Superior Court, stating she had ‘legitimate fear for [her] safety and well-being.’

Her first filing was initially dismissed but she was eventually granted one three days before Christmas.

It ordered Emmett to stay 100 yards away from his ex-wife, according to The Los Angeles Times.

He was also forbidden from contacting her unless it is was a ‘brief and peaceful interaction’ about visitation for London and Rylee.

Ambyr claimed in her court filing that Emmett was ‘physically and emotionally abusive’ while they were married.

She added that when he asked her to sign a post-nuptial financial agreement in 2015, and she refused, he got so upset and put his left hand on her neck, ‘squeezing with such force that [Ambyr] had difficulty breathing.’

The star also claimed that in 2016, when he brought up the proposed agreement once more, Emmett ‘again attempted to strangle’ her.

Emmett’s litigation attorney, Suann C. MacIsaac, said in another statement, ‘Mr. Emmett adamantly denies all of the allegations in Ms. Childer’s recent declaration.’

Ambyr also spoke to DailyMail.com about her relationship with Emmett’s ex-fiancée Lala Kent after the pair bonded at his daughter Ocean’s second birthday party in Los Angeles earlier this year (pictured)

In the filing, Ambyr also claimed the FBI had contacted her to ask about Emmett’s ‘suspected activities with child exploitation and pedophilia.’

And last June, the Detective Knight producer was hit with a myriad of disturbing allegations, from abusing past assistants to offering roles in exchange for sex.

But Emmett, who’s produced movies including The Irishman and End of Watch, himself has dismissed the allegations, and previously referred to them as ‘cancel culture.’

He claimed he had obtained ‘confirmation’ that ‘the FBI has never been investigating me and isn’t investigating me because there’s nothing to investigate.’

The restraining order was later dismissed following a report that the former couple were working on a settlement.

In addition to London and Rylee, Emmett also shares a two-year-old daughter called Ocean with his ex-fiancée Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent who accused him of infidelity and abuse.

Emmett has staunchly denied Kent’s claim that he ‘tackled’ her during a spat when she confronted him about allegations that he was unfaithful to her.

Speaking to DailyMail.com about her own relationship with Lala, having recently bonded at Ocean’s second birthday party in Los Angeles earlier this year Ambyr said: ‘She’s a good mom… She really inspires me.

‘She is a very hard worker. I really, really appreciate that and I find strength in that.’

‘Our relationship has not always been easy. We have had really bad moments and that’s okay because I had to go through what I had to go through and she needed to experience and go through what she did.’

Despite the ongoing struggles in her personal life, Ambyr has hinted at a whole host of professional projects that are keeping her busy – including a podcast and children’s book

She continued: ‘I think we need to go through these things in life. If it’s not gonna kill you, it’s gonna make you stronger.

‘And I know that’s such a cliché thing but oh my God! If I could look at my 19-year old-self that got married – that’s how young I was – I just want to hold her and say it’s okay and you’re gonna be okay and you’re gonna get through this…

‘What we both have gone through has not been easy but guess what? We’re not the only ones in the world that have experienced everything – bad court systems, dealing with exes, dealing with… you name it.

‘We’ve both been through a lot and at the end of the day we have beautiful, healthy children.’

Despite the ongoing struggles in her personal life, Ambyr has hinted at a whole host of professional projects that are keeping her busy – including a podcast and children’s book.

She said that the ongoing strikes in the industry by WGA and SAG-AFTRA had been ‘tough’ and that people were ‘suffering.’

But revealed that the disruption had spurred her on to launch her own online platform called VelvetRope.com.

It enables entertainers to engage directly with fans through live video chats, text message and exclusive content while generating income.

Speaking to DailyMail.com about the endeavor, Ambyr said: ‘There’s so many people out in the world that have so much to offer – so much information that I want to share and I wanted have people to have access to that.’
