Television presenter Fearne Cotton’s brand Happy Place has released its latest collaboration with fashion brand Nobody’s Child, calling the collection “pure sunshine” thanks to is bright colours and bold patterns.
However, there’s one dress that is an absolute stand out piece, and fans can’t get enough of it. The Helena dress has been getting an outpouring of love thanks to its nostalgic pattern and chic, easy to wear style, with even Fearne calling it “One of my faves” from the collection.
The Fearne Cotton Sunflower Crochet Print Helena Midi Dress,£59 here, is a midaxi length slip dress that features a fitted bust and figure skimming straight cut skirt, with a V neck and sleeveless wide straps. It’s not just the silhouette that’s a timeless classic; the print is also packed full of nostalgia.
The crochet-inspired print is reminiscent of a 70s crochet patchwork blanket, with the product description calling it “perfect for the modern bohemian”, whilst one follower of the brand wrote in the Instagram comments: “It’s like a childhood blanket I had! Like wearing a HUG!”
Fans of the print will also be thrilled to know you can snap it up in a mini dress format, with the Sunflower Crochet Print Kitty Mini Dress,£49 here, or as a midi skirt, with the Sunflower Crochet Print Mila Satin Slip Midi Skirt,£49 here.
The dress has been designed to be worn anywhere, any time, whether it’s with platform sandals or chunky combat boots, with Fearne choosing to style it with green Adidas trainers in a reel shared to the Nobody’s Child Instagram account, her choppy full fringe and simple silver jewellery giving some serious the 70s influences.
Other items in Fearne’s Happy Place X Nobody’s Child collection include crochet knits, colourful co ords, and plenty more retro-inspired prints for a summer wardrobe packed full of quirky pieces and fun. This is the fourth collaboration the Fearne’s brand has done with Nobody’s Child, with each drop providing whimsical, dreamy pieces that suit both Fearne’s personal style and Nobody’s Child’s customers perfectly.
This time around, Fearne even visited the head office of Nobody’s Child to meet the teams who will be making the clothes.
The former DJ shared a video of herself trying her hand at using a sewing machine for the first time under the guidance of one of the brand’s seamstresses.
Captioning the video: “Thank god I'm not actually making the dresses! Here's me being taught by the amazing Marie how to use a sewing machine to gather fabric for a waistline at @nobodyschild today. I really need to work on my foot pressure on that peddle.”
Fearne may not have been a natural with the needle and thread, but having a transparent supply chain and making clothes responsibly is a huge part of Nobody’s Child’s mission statement, so fans were thrilled that Fearne was actually visiting the location where samples were made.
She continued: “Nobody's Child have an amazing pattern room in their office space where an extremely skilled team hand cut and create the samples for each dress. It's a joy to be in that creative environment. Also, check out the sneaky peak of a new print coming soon!”
