Fella wants me to sleep with loan sharks and take one for team to pay off debt

My boyfriend’s in debt. He says if I’ll just have sex with his loan sharks then we’ll be free to start a new life.

Will we? Apparently, if I truly loved him then I’d “take one for the team”. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

He claims to love and respect me but then comes out with rubbish like this.

He owes lots of money to several different people. Does he expect me to have sex with all of them? And will one night of passion with each slug be enough to wipe the various slates clean? I don’t think so, do you?

The problem is, he twists me around his little finger and makes everything that comes out of his mouth sound so reasonable. During the 18 months we’ve been together I’ve done his bidding a number of times and always regretted it afterwards.

From delivering “birthday presents” to friends, to looking after locked suitcases in my flat for members of his family.

The problem with him is that he’s charm personified.

He dresses well, speaks eloquently and always seems genuinely interested in my family, work and welfare.

It also helps that he’s extremely good-looking and absolutely electric in bed. Friends are always telling me that I clearly love a bad boy. They all fancy the pants off him. But they don’t understand quite how bad he is.

The truth is, he doesn’t like to work but does appreciate the finer things in life.

He thinks he can take shortcuts. He assumes he can borrow money, and something will turn up (his favourite phrase) or there won’t be any consequences.

But I don’t think he can talk his way out of this one. At the moment all of his sharks are circling and, suddenly, it’s being suggested that it’s me alone who can get him out of this mess.

How does that work?

JANE SAYS: Sex in kind is no laughing matter. Your idiotic boyfriend is in deep water, and you cannot allow yourself to be used like that.

It’s common practice for loan sharks to demand sex from punters who can’t afford to pay them back.

These sharks prey on the poor and the vulnerable.

And, in answer to your question, once would not be enough. I can’t even imagine what you might be expected to do after the first time.

Your devious boyfriend is in debt because he doesn’t like to work. That’s his business, not yours. I urge you to get as far away from him as possible – he’s dangerous, and the people he’s dealing with are even more so.

Confide in trusted family members and friends and plan your escape. I’m serious; you must get away from him immediately.

In many ways, things have already gone too far. Clearly, he’ll stop at nothing to get his own way.

Ultimately, he’d throw you under a bus without a second thought. You’re worth so much better than this – his behaviour is simply awful.
