Rahim is nominated for the first time in the best actor in a motion picture – drama category for his role as Mohamedou Ould Slahi in The Mauritanian.

The late actor earned a posthumous nomination, his first, for his role as Levee in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. He is honored in the best actor in a motion picture – drama category.

Taylor-Joy isn’t just a first-time nominee, she’s also a double nominee! She’s nominated this year for both her performance in the film Emma (best actress in a motion picture – musical or comedy) and for The Queen’s Gambit (best actress in a limited series or a motion picture made for TV).

Maria Bakalova

Bakalova is nominated for best actress in a motion picture – musical or comedy for her role in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. The 24-year-old plays Borat’s daughter Tutar in the comedy film and is the first Bulgarian actor to score a Golden Globe nomination.

Just 12 years old, Zengel is making a name for herself, scoring a Golden Globe nomination for her debut film News of the World. In the film, Zengel acts opposite none other than Tom Hanks.

Seyfried earned her first Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actress in a drama after portraying real-life Old Hollywood actress Marion Davies in Netflix’s Mank.

She told Deadline of her nomination, “It’s a win for both of us. I think she would be proud.”

The musical theater star played the legendary Sam Cook in One Night in Miami, earning his first two nominations for best supporting actor in a motion picture and best original song for “Speak Now.”

Cuoco scored her first nomination for her role as Cassandra Bowden in HBO Max’s Flight Attendant in the best television actress – musical or comedy category.

Hoult earned his first nomination in the best television actor in a musical or comedy series category for his portrayal of Peter the Great on the Hulu series, The Great.

Levy’s series, Schitt’s Creek, scored five Golden Globe nominations, including best TV musical or comedy series. As for Levy himself, he’s nominated for best supporting actor for the first time for his role as David Rose.

Like father, like son. Eugene Levy and his son, Daniel Levy, are both nominated for the first time for their roles in Schitt’s Creek. Eugene is nominated for his role the Rose family patriarch, Johnny Rose, in the best television actor – musical or comedy series category.

She’s a little bit Alexis and a whole lot nominated for best supporting actress in a TV series. After playing Alexis Rose on the show’s six-season run, Murphy received her first Golden Globe nomination in 2021 for Schitt’s Creek.
