Gwyneth Paltrow gushes over daughter Apple on her 17th birthday
Gwyneth Paltrow is a cool mom.
The actress, 48, announced on Monday that her Goop brand is expanding its clothing offerings into jewelry, including a pair of earrings inspired by her 17-year-old daughter, Apple Martin.
“Every year on Apple’s birthday, we get a new piercing — it’s this little tradition we have,” Paltrow said in a statement on Goop’s website. “She was a big inspiration for this collection and helped me refine the designs. I named the pieces after her and her best friends. She’ll definitely be ‘borrowing’ her namesake earrings.”
The Apple earrings ($1,450) are a geometric drop design, featuring a tiny circle of pavé diamonds.
“They’re incredibly versatile, the kind of outfit-finishers you can wear with everything from casual tees to black tie,” the site boasts of the design.
The line of jewelry – which ranges in price from $650 for a yellow gold and pavé ear cuff to $2,500 for a gold link necklace — is a “core collection” of fine jewelry basics that are designed to be mixed and matched together.
“I don’t differentiate between day and night. If I invest in a great piece of jewelry, I’m going to wear it all the time: I’ll sleep in it, wear it on the red carpet, and pick up [my son] Moses from school in it,” Paltrow said.
This isn’t the first Goop project that Apple’s been involved in; not only did she pose in the brand’s G. Label clothing line last year, but she also helped consult on and launch a new skincare product.
Plus, Apple recently went viral for hilariously roasting her mom on TikTok for her more outlandish wares.
It seems likely that Goop could end up being a family business one day.
