Hamleys, the world’s oldest toy store, has revealed its top 10 toys for Christmas 2022.
Each year, expert buyers from the retailer curate an edit of the products expected to be on every child’s Christmas list, so you can give Santa a head’s up ahead of the big day.
With over 20,000 toys to choose from, only the most coveted ones make the cut – and this year’s crop has something perfect for under every tree.
The selection of gifts this time around has a joyful retro twist, with iconic characters like Mattel’s Barbie and Buzz Lightyear making an appearance.
Of course there had to be something featuring Peppa Pig, and old favourites such as Play-Doh also proving popular.
Victoria Kay, Head of Buying at Hamleys explains: ‘The real focus this year has been about quality and investment pieces that you can hand down from generation to generation.
‘It’s not that kind of fast shopping, it’s all about investing in good quality products. We’ve really gone for what we think has a lot of play value and there’s a lot of product to get through to decipher.’
A range of price points have also been included, ensuring parents on a budget can still impress come Christmas.
So if you want to see their little eyes light up as they tear open the wrapping paper, these are the toys to snag before they sell out.
