In feedback from dog owners they have been shown to make a difference; more than half (56 per cent) of owners felt there had been a significant improvement in their pet’s behaviour and energy, while 45 per cent reported a significant improvement in joint health*.

Even better, when you purchase a pack of SuperDog, Vitabiotics makes a contribution to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home **, one of the UK’s oldest and most famous dog rescue centres.

So not only are you looking out for your own dog, but you’re also helping thousands of other vulnerable animals every year!

The SuperDog supplements come in a braised beef flavour – meaning your faithful friend will look forward to them as a tasty treat! Here’s how the SuperDog range can help your pet feel like the ulti-mutt top dog.

STRONG BONES AND TEETH

While most dogs love nothing more than a good romp around a field, chasing balls and tucking into tough chewy treats, over time these habits can take a toll on their bodies.

Owners of certain breeds – larger dogs in particular – are often looking for additional joint support for their dog, frequently due to the increased weight on their joints as they get older.

SuperDog Joints & Bones (£18.95 for 60 tablets) is designed to support your dog’s nutrition with specific vitamins and minerals for joint, bone and dental health, to help keep your furry friend fit and active.

Both SuperDog Joints & Bones and SuperDog Health & Vitality contain no artificial colours, preservatives and aren’t tested on animals

Its comprehensive formula provides a really comprehensive spectrum of nutrients for flexible joints, including green-lipped mussel extract (a nutritional supplement taken from a type of mussel native to New Zealand), together with MSM – a natural compound which contains the mineral sulphur.

The combination of the two is thought to help support your dog’s joints and keep the surrounding tissue and cartilage healthy. To help safeguard your pet’s joints as they get older, glucosamine and chondroitin also work together to support collagen production and cushion their precious joints.

SuperDog Joints & Bones contains 22 specialist advanced micronutrients including botanical extracts like omega-3, which provides essential fatty acids to help keep joints supple and active.

The formula provides a rich source of calcium too, with co-factors to help maintain your dog’s bone and dental health, as well as supporting the health of the heart, muscles and nerves.

It also contains high quality vitamin D3 to help with calcium absorption, and zinc and copper help to support bone mineralisation. While humans can generate vitamin D on exposure to the sun, dogs struggle to do this with most of the skin being covered by fur, so the majority of their essential vitamin D must come from their diet.

Both SuperDog Joints & Bones and SuperDog Health & Vitality contain no artificial colours, preservatives and of course aren’t tested on animals.

Vitabiotics is currently running a 3 for 2 offer on its SuperDog Health & Vitality and SuperDog Joints & Bones range. Not only that, whenever you buy a pack of SuperDog, 10p will be given to Battersea, one of the UK’s oldest and most famous animal rescue centres

GLOSSY COATS AND HEALTHY SKIN

For more general wellbeing, SuperDog Health & Vitality (priced at £12.95 for 60 tablets) provides 25 key nutrients for dogs, with specific minerals to keep your dog’s skin and coat in tip top condition.

The balanced formula contains seaweed, a source of natural iodine, that promotes coat growth and helps to maintain colour, especially during winter.

For a glossy coat that your groomer would be proud of, both SuperDog Healthy & Vitality and SuperDog Joints & Bones contain vitamin E, zinc and linseed oil, as well as omega-3 fatty acids, which help to maintain their outer fur as well as healthy skin and footpads.

Scientifically formulated by Vitabiotics experts and building on their 50 years of innovation in nutrition, the SuperDog range includes a Health & Vitality formula, and one for Joints & Bones

ALL-ROUND HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Both SuperDog Health & Vitality and SuperDog Joints & Bones provide a range of specialist vitamins for dogs, including the antioxidant vitamins C, D and E.

These help to protect against the harmful effect of free radicals. They also provide essential minerals zinc and selenium, to support your dog’s natural defence system.

The specific nutrients in SuperDog Health & Vitality help support a healthy nervous system; it includes B-complex vitamins which is thought may help to keep your dog in good temperament.

Vitabiotics is currently running a 20 per cent off deal on its SuperDog products for 10 days – that includes both the Health & Vitality and SuperDog Joints & Bones range.

Pup-tastic tips to care for your SuperDog!

Celebrity canine expert Paul Manktelow (pictured) shares his pawsome advice for keeping your pooch happy…

HIGH QUALITY DIET

Your dog’s diet can have a huge impact on how they feel, how they look and even how they behave. A high quality diet can help manage your dog’s weight, maintain a strong immune system and can help to keep joints and muscles healthy.

KEEP THEM SMILING

Dental health is extremely important for dogs and can result in serious illness if basic dental hygiene advice is not followed. Plaque and tartar can build up and cause receding gums, loose teeth and even bad breath! The easiest way to care for your pet’s mouth is to brush their teeth at home with a pet friendly toothpaste. For help and advice please consult your vet.

REGULAR EXERCISE

Every breed is different and the amount of exercise they require can vary, but regular exercise can benefit your dog in a number of different ways. Bursts of physical stimulation during walks are a great way to release excess energy meaning that your dog can be much more relaxed and sleepy at home.

Remember, dog walking isn’t just good for dogs! It’s a great form of exercise and it keeps people trim and healthy too. It can also help strengthen the bond between you both.

PAMPERED POOCH

Long-haired breeds will need more grooming than a short-haired breed, but all dogs should get used to being groomed and handled regularly. Combing your dog’s fur helps prevent matting and removes dirt that builds up during play. It’s also a good opportunity to check the skin for lumps, bumps and parasites.

Try to check your dog’s eyes and ears for anything irregular and keep an eye on their paws too. If you wash your pet at home, use a mild dog shampoo with warm water.

A BOX OF TOYS

Dogs love to chew, but this can turn into a disaster if it’s your favourite pair of shoes! This kind of behaviour could mean your dog is bored, so try using toys which will keep them occupied for longer. These can be durable, long-lasting toys made of rubber which can be stuffed with their favourite treats, where your dog has to try and retrieve the food inside. This is a great way to reduce anxiety-related behaviours when you have to leave your dog alone for part of the day, by distracting them with a mentally stimulating task.

REGULAR VET CHECKS

A routine health check by a veterinary surgeon is recommended on a regular basis. These visits to the vet can significantly improve the early diagnosis and treatment of issues which may impact on your dog’s health. It’s also a great opportunity to talk to your vet about what vaccines and parasite protection your dog may need.

COMFY BEDDING

Sleep is a dog’s best friend, so even if your dog enjoys rolling in mud, there should still be a clean bed to snooze in after! Shake bedding outdoors regularly to remove loose hairs and dirt and hoover any remaining dirt. We recommend to clean towels and blankets weekly, to keep fleas and odours at bay.

SuperDog is a complementary pet food for dogs – it is not a treatment or medication or intended to be a substitute for professional veterinary advice. See label for full information.
