I told him I was only looking for something serious and he still pursued me and was a gentleman. But when I look back, I think he was lying all the time.

But if you are having his baby, he does have an obligation to support his child financially at the very least.

If you think you can manage as a single parent and you don’t need his financial support, you could say nothing.
But do think forward to the time when your child will have questions about their father and might want to meet him in future. If your ex doesn’t know they exist, this could cause major issues.
