Inside Coleen and Wayne Rooney’s romantic getaway to plush five-star hotel

Coleen and Wayne Rooney have given a glimpse inside their romantic date night to a five-star luxury hotel in the Yorkshire Dales.

The former England footballer, 36, and his wife Coleen, 35, looked every inch the happy couple as they posed for a gorgeous snap together in The Orchard restaurant at Grantley Hall in Ripon while they enjoyed some quality time together.

Coleen, who shares children Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, five, and three year old Cass with Wayne, revealed that they had spent a 'gorgeous couple of nights away' and ended their getaway with a romantic meal at the alpine-inspired chalet, Aprés, at The Orchard.

The gorgeous winter setting has aprés favourites on the menu including cheese fondue and caramelised French onion soup while blankets and Christmas trees make it the ultimate setting for a date night.

Grantely Hall, which boasts Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin along with a gorgeous spa and state-of-the-art gym, features 47 luxurious bedrooms with Coleen revealing that the couple, who wed in 2008, stayed for two relaxing nights.

Meanwhile one night in a deluxe room at the traditional hotel in November is priced at £600 per night while the royal suite, which features an emperor bed along with a garden and fountain, can set guests back £3,500 per night.

Wayne also re-shared the sweet snap with wife Coleen to his 15.3million followers captioned simply with a red heart and smiling face emoji.

It comes after Wayne and his influencer wife Coleen took their four sons out to the infamous Nusr Et restaurant in Knightsbridge.

The Nusr Et chain is famously owned by viral meme sensation Salt Bae – real name Nusret Gokce – and costs its diners a pretty penny.

Many of its recent customers have been sharing their receipts online, revealing that a single Tomahawk steak can set you back £850.

The Liverpudlian star had grabbed a lovely family pic with Wayne and all four sons posing against a wall featuring artwork of Salt Bae himself.

Salt Bae's steakhouse has been a hot topic of discussions since it opened its doors last month due to its sky-high prices.

Celebrities such as Gemma Collins were amongst the first to head down to Nusr Et Knightsbridge as soon as it launched, with the former TOWIE star opting for an £850 gold-covered steak.
