Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry are currently expecting their second child together. The couple revealed their big baby news earlier this year with a Valentine’s Day announcement, per Express. The couple were said to be “overjoyed” about adding to their family, as they already share one son together, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born in May 2019. Little Archie does not have a royal title like his first cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. In fact, he’s being raised in the United States after Meghan and Harry decided to exit as senior members of the royal family and leave the U.K. in favor of California.
Since announcing their pregnancy, Meghan and Harry have revealed that their second child will be a little girl and that she’s due this summer (via Parents). They gave away the big details during their recent tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, which caused quite a stir. “To have a boy then a girl — what more can you ask for?” Meghan said during the interview. Harry later added that he was “Grateful, having any child, any one or a two would have been amazing, but to have a boy and then a girl.” This is Meghan’s third pregnancy, as she sadly admitted to suffering a miscarriage after giving birth to Archie. Now, sources are revealing that Meghan Markle is doing everything she can to stay healthy while pregnant with her little girl.
How Meghan Markle is staying healthy during pregnancy
Us Weekly reports that Meghan Markle is making her mental and physical health a priority during her pregnancy. Sources tell the outlet that the former “Suits” star is sticking to a healthy diet, even though she is having some major cravings as she pushes toward her final weeks. “Meghan had been craving pasta but she’s been eating super clean (and trying her best to avoid gluten). Meghan is a big fruit eater and eats all organic only.”
In addition, the Duchess of Sussex is also said to be taking care of her body by engaging in some yoga, which she does “every day,” according to the insider. “It’s what keeps her healthy both physically and mentally during the pregnancy. This pregnancy has been a little easier than the last in terms of less morning sickness. Meghan is feeling much better this time around,” the source added.
Meanwhile, a separate source tells US Weekly that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been hard at work trying to figure out what to name their daughter. “They … have not settled on one yet. There are some top picks for names but nothing concrete. Both her and Harry are beyond excited to have a larger family unit,” the informant dished. Meghan is currently due to give birth sometime this summer, and fans are looking forward to hearing the details of the baby’s arrival.
