Princesses Maria Chiara and Maria Carolina of Bourbon two Sicilies have been snapped looking glamorous while indulging in a spot of shopping in Saint Tropez.

The Italian heiress sisters were born to Prince Carlo, Duke of Castro – who holds a claim to the now defunct throne of the former House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies – and Princess Camilla, Duchess of Castro.

Their appearance comes amid rumours that younger sister Chiara, 18, is dating Prince Christian, heir to the throne of Denmark.

Speculation was sparked after Christian, 17, was snapped enjoying a day out with friends at the Monaco Grand Prix in May, and was seen standing close together with Roman-born Chiara in a group photo taken at the event.

His parents Crown Princess Mary, 54, and Crown Price Frederik, 55, are family friends with the parents of Carolina, 19, and Chiara.

The sisters appeared to be enjoying their stroll through the town, which is known for being a glamorous destination

The Italian sisters have already spent some time in St Tropez this Summer (where Chiara was snapped enjoying an ice cream with Christian), and seem keen to make the most of Summer in the glitzy French Riviera town.

Stepping out today, the siblings looked typically chic, in casual but carefully curated outfits.

Older sister Carolina opted for a sporty co-ord outfit, matching a cropped pink t-shirt with matching leggings.

She finished the ensemble with a pair of nude wedge sandals with a straw heel, and coordinating miniature straw holdall bag.

Her long blonde locks were pulled into a high ponytail, and held in place with a hair tie decorated with fabric flowers, and she appeared fresh faced.

Meanwhile, Chiara donned a minidress with a halter neck style top, and a waist cinched in with a belt made of matching fabric.

The short dress was made from a white cotton fabric boasting a multi-coloured floral print.

Like her sister, she also wore a pair of wedge heels, which both looked chic, and appeared more practical for navigating the cobbled streets than heels.

The glamorous Italian sisters are known for combining their glitzy jetset lifestyles with their charity work

St Tropez is just one of the luxury destinations the sisters enjoy visiting, with them regularly splitting time between Monaco, Paris and St Tropez as well as Italy

Carolina and Chiara are actively involved with charity work, and have also built their personal profiles by sharing snaps from their lives on social media

Her long blonde bob was neatly styled to fall straight past her jaw, and she finished off the look with a bright yellow bag casually slung over one shoulder.

The House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies is a cadet branch of the Spanish Royal Family which descends from the Capetian Dynasty and ruled over Southern Italy and Sicily during the 18th and 19th centuries.

While the family has no official remit, they spend their time doing charity work and promoting the interest of Southern Italy.

And the two sisters are also actively involved with charity work and rub shoulders with the most elite socialites of Europe, speaking fluently in English, French and Italian.

In recent years, they have been building a large fanbase by sharing snaps of their luxurious lives on Instagram, and clips of themselves on TikTok, dancing, showing off their style, and having fun in various glamorous locations.
