No comparing apples and oranges here: Dr. Jill Biden and Meghan Markle seem to be on the same style wavelength.

To deliver a speech at the State Department’s International Women of Courage Award ceremony on Monday, the First Lady, 69, selected a lemon-print Oscar de la Renta dress ($2,890) that bore a striking resemblance to a look worn by the Duchess of Sussex, 39, last month.

For Spotify’s Stream On event several weeks ago, Markle donned the brand’s sleeveless peplum dress ($3,490), which features the same fruit print.

While the two frocks appear quite similar, Dr. Biden’s includes short sleeves and a longer hemline, while pregnant Markle opted for an above-the-knee version with a looser fit to accommodate her baby bump.

The former “Suits” star also kept her accessories minimal, while the FLOTUS added a pop of color with a matching lemon-print face mask and yellow pumps for her International Women’s Day look.

Social media users speculated about the meaning behind the twinning moment, with one tweeting, “I’m choosing to believe flotus Jill Biden wore this Oscar de la Renta in solidarity with #MeghanMarkle.”

Added another, “@FLOTUS wore this @OscardelaRenta dress for her event today. Meghan Markle wore the similar version last month. I don’t believe in coincidences.”

During her seven-minute speech honoring 21 “extraordinary” women receiving the International Women of Courage Award, Dr. Biden spoke of their “herculean acts of fortitude and fearlessness.”

“You see, courage isn’t really found,” she said. “It doesn’t conjure away our doubts. It’s an intentional decision made.”

Although it’s unclear whether Biden’s outfit was a nod to Markle, her fashion statement came a day after the latter’s explosive tell-all interview with Oprah aired on CBS, in which she discussed the Sussexes’ torturous relationship with the royal family and dealing with suicidal thoughts during her time as a member of the monarchy.

The former actress, who is no stranger to sending messages with her own style choices, donned an Armani dress with a symbolic print for the highly anticipated sit-down.
