The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal’s wild coffee order has caused quite the stir on the internet after it was revealed that he drinks six shots of espresso over ice.

A fan ran into the actor, 47, while walking in New York City last month and she shared footage of their interaction to her TikTok account.

But attentive viewers were quick to notice that Pedro was holding a Starbucks coffee cup during the clip and the sticker attached to his order was on full display.

It turns out, he got an iced quad – which is four shots of espresso – however, it appears that he had two extra shots put into the already-strong drink.

‘Bro’s got coffee in his brains,’ someone else said. A fourth comment read: ‘That is a violent amount of coffee.’

‘This is chaotic but somehow exactly what I figured he’d order,’ a different user wrote.

‘Is his heart OK?’ another person asked, while someone else commented, ‘This man does espresso shots the way a college kid does Jaeger shots.’

There’s about 64mg of caffeine per shot of espresso, which means Pedro is consuming 384mg.

According to Mayo Clinic, it’s safe to drink roughly 400mg of caffeine a day, which means the star is cutting it pretty close.

While Pedro has acted in a slew of other big movies and TV shows over the years – like the Mandalorian, Game of Thrones, Narcos, and Wonder Women – he has been skyrocketed into the spotlight in recent months due to his role in The Last of Us.

The HBO series – which follows Pedro’s character Joel and a young girl named Ellie, played by Bella Ramsay, as they try to survive the zombie apocalypse – is based off a PlayStation video game of the same name.

It has broken numerous records since it premiered in January, with the most recent episode getting more than eight million views.
