Love Island’s Faye Winter and Teddy Soares’ romance from tears to new home

Faye Winter and Teddy Soares rose to fame after coupling up on Love Island back in 2021.

Faye was one of the original girls, first coupling up with Brad McCelland, then Liam Reardon before Teddy walked in on Day 12 to shake things up.

Their chemistry was unmatched but Casa Amor put their relationship to the ultimate test – with producers sending Faye a postcard with a picture of Teddy kissing another girl.

In a bid not to get mugged off, Faye chose to get to know Sam Jackson instead.

But when Teddy stayed single for her, it prompted some emotional conversations that eventually got their (then-turbulent) relationship back on track.

At one point a fight between them resulted in 25,000 Ofcom complaints from fuming viewers.

The episode, which aired on August 6, 2021, saw Faye lash out at Teddy after seeing footage of him admitting to finding other women attractive.

She said she had been under the impression that he had behaved like a ‘saint’ in Casa Amor before hurling insults and slurs at him from across the villa.

But somehow they managed to patch things up and sailed through to the final, landing a spot in third place – losing to winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon.

Second place that season was Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran and fourth place was Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank.

But despite the drama inside of the villa, Faye and Teddy are the only couple left from 2021 still going strong.

It’s been just over a year and a half since leaving the show and they’ve moved in together and have the most adorable dog named Bonnie.

The ex-estate agent even has an entire Instagram account dedicated to their home together called ‘Faye__Home’.

In February last year, in an exclusive chat with OK! magazine, Faye and Teddy opened up on other people’s opinions of their relationship, with Faye saying: “There’s been a lot of opinions based on mine and teddy’s relationship with Teddy being a mixed race male and dating outside of his race with a white woman it’s been really hard to deal with.

“I’ve had to take a step back from social media”.

But the couple, both 27, also opened up on their plans for the future revealing that Faye desperately wants a ring on her finger.

Teddy said: “Our relationship has definitely proved everything has its time and getting engaged has its time as well – but I can’t give away that secret!”
