Matalan frequently shares its new products on social media, with its latest summer dress causing quite the stir with customers online. Retailing at just £20, the summery item is perfect for anyone looking to snap up a bargain in time for the warmer months.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, earlier this month Matalan shared the dress on Instagram alongside a caption that said: “Add a burst of bold blooms into your wardrobe. Tap to add to bag and make this your summer go-to floral maxi dress.”

The image showed a model wearing the dress, which is listed online as the “Papaya Floral High Neck Apex Maxi Dress”.

It is cut with a billowing maxi fit and styled with a vibrant pink and orange floral print, making it the perfect addition to a summer wardrobe.

It has proven to be very popular on Instagram, receiving over 1,500 likes from eager customers.

One wrote: “Lovely dress.”

A second added: “What a dress.”

A third said: “I bought this yesterday, can’t wait to wear it!.”

Another added: “Looks fab.”

Despite the love for the product, some were left disappointed by some of its features.

One said: “Such a shame it only comes in one length option. Way too long if you are only 5ft tall.”

Those wanting to purchase the dress can tap on the Instagram post to get a direct link to it on the brand’s website.

According to the listing, it is 100 percent viscose and machine washable – apparently looking best when paired with your favourite sandals or heels.
