Who is in the cast of Money Heist season 5?

The Spanish language hit has been turned into English, but can be watched with subtitles if you prefer.

The success of seasons three and four saw the show become the most watched non-English language show in their first week of release on the platform.

We take you through who is in the cast for season 5:

Ursula Corbero returns as narrator Silene Oliveira aka Tokyo

Úrsula Corberó will be back again as Tokyo, who is the star and narrator of Money Heist part five.

Her character spent season three reeling from when she was involved in the attack on the police after being ditched by Rio.

Actress Ursula has appeared in Snatch and Spanish series including 14 de abril La República and La embajada.

Itziar Ituno as Raquel Murillo aka Lisbon

Itziar Ituño is again reprising the role of Lisbon in the fifth series after she was spared by the police in season three following the professor being tricked into believing she was dead.

Season four saw how Lisbon was brought in by them as they attempted to extract information about the heist.

She is known for films like Flowers and Errementari, as well as series like Cuéntame.

Alvaro Morte as Salvador Martin aka The Professor

Another character who will be affected by what happened in part four is the professor, played by Alvaro.

The Professor spent much of part four using all his energy to helping his team escape from the bank.

Actor Alvaro is also known for The Pier, Love in Difficult Times and the forthcoming series The Head.

Jaime Lorente as Daniel Ramos aka Denver

Denver assumes a ‘him against the world’ attitude, introduced to him by his father Moscow.

He strikes up interest in a hostage named Monica during the Royal Mint heist… and she falls in love with him.

Jaime also features in Elite, alongside Money Heist co-star Herran, as Nano.

He featured in the 2018 film Everybody Knows as Luis.

Darko Peric as Yashin Dasayev aka Helsinki

The veteran Serbian soldier is the brawn of the group, not to be messed with, and is mainly charged with maintaining order of the hostages during heists. He is a generally likeable character despite his tough guy demeanour and role.

Darko has also starred in Mar de Plastico and A Perfect Day.

Miguel Herran as Anibal Cortes aka Rio

Rio is the boyfriend of Tokyo and is brought into the group as a super hacker.

He would rather not be involved in the activities, and would prefer a quieter life at his computer desk, but given his feelings for Tokyo, he remains locked in.

Actor Miguel juggles his time on Money Heist with another series, Elite, in which he plays Christian.

He first found fame through his first role as Dario in Nothing in Return.

Esther Acebo as Monica Gaztambide aka Stockholm

Monica joins the robbers given her links to Denver and assumes the name of Stockholm.

This is a nod to the Stockholm Syndrome beginnings of her and Denver's relationship.

Actress Esther is also known for her work in Spanish films including Los Encantados, Madrid DF and Baraka.

When is Money Heist season 5 released?

Netflix sparked excitement in August 2020 when they confirmed the series would return, but their announcement did come with the news that the fifth series of the show would be the last.

The final series is not to set to hit our screens until after September 2021 at the earliest, according to reports.

The lengthy wait between wrapping shooting and releasing the final cut is traditional of Money Heist, who finished filming for series four in August 2019 but kept fans waiting a further eight months before they could get their fix.
