Mrs Hinch – real name Sophie Hinchliffe – is a British influencer whose Instagram account features tips for home cleaning. She rose to fame within two years of sharing her journey and since then, she has gone onto have several deals with publishers and clothing brands. So how much is she now worth?

Mrs Hinch’s net worth

According to Company Check, Mrs Hinch has a net worth of £1.5million.

Mrs Hinch’s early life and rise

Mrs Hinch, 31, was born in Basildon, Essex.

Before creating her Instagram account, she was a hairdresser.

During a previous Instagram Q&A, she told fans: “I’ve had a few jobs since I left school. I’ve worked as a waitress, an after school club as a nursery assistant, call centre office, job board sales, and a hairdresser.”

As for why she started cleaning, she explained she suffers from anxiety, and cleaning helped her cope with it.

Mrs Hinch’s career

Mrs Hinch created her Instagram account, mrshinchhome, in March 2018, to initially show followers how she and her husband were decorating their house.

She told Hello! in a previous interview: “I started my account back in March 2018.

“I’ve always enjoyed home interior design but as soon as my husband and I bought our first house together I was super excited to make it a home. I really wanted to post décor photos on Instagram but didn’t want to bore my friends and family, so I started @mrshinchhome.

“I never imagined for a second that my account would become so popular! It’s absolutely crazy and I’m so overwhelmed but so grateful all at the same time.

“I’m just so happy it’s resulted in such a positive space for everyone.”

Mrs Hinch became verified when she reached one million followers – this happened three months after starting the account.

Then, within two years, she had accumulated two million followers which became Hinchers and were part of the hashtag #HinchArmy.

By June 2015, Mrs Hinch had 2.5 million followers and then in October 2020, that number sat at 3.8million.

Her content includes stories and short videos showing her cleaning and organising her home.

In March 2021, GoCompare listed her as the highest-paid Cleanfluencer in the UK and the second highest in the world – with Marie Kondo being first.

In April 2019, Mrs Hinch’s first book, Hinch Yourself Happy, sold 160,302 copies in the first three days, making it the second highest-selling non-fiction book in the UK at the time.

Her second book, The Activity Journal, was released later that year and reached number one of the Sunday Times Bestseller List.

Her third book, The Little Book of Lists, became the number one bestseller in the country in April 2020 – surge of interest in cleaning and home care followed by the coronavirus lockdown restrictions held.

In October 2020, her memoir, This Is Me, also became a number one bestseller.

Mrs Hinch has also appeared on television – she has spoken to This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about her cleaning tips.

Because of her popularity, she has been snapped up by a well known brand, Tesco.

Mrs Hinch recently teamed up with the supermarket to create her debut homewear collection which features some loungewear.
