The mum, who posts on TikTok as @the3holmboys, has gone viral on the social media platform for sharing her no plates take on meal time.

In the clip that has racked up 14.7 million views, the mum-of-three covered her wooden table in cellophane wrap.

While her three young sons sat around the table eagerly waiting for their grub as one twizzled their fork.

With a big smile on her face, the mum poured a saucepan of spaghetti onto the middle of the table as the steam ushered upwards.

“Kids super excited”, the parent shared as one boy’s face lit up at the pasta covered table.

“Grant not as much”, she said as the dad gave half a smile at the sight.

The mum then came back as she poured the bolognese sauce and meat on top of the ‘messy’ meal.

One person fretted: “Why don't they use something called plates which is much better than messing up the plastic on the table?

A second person admitted: “I can’t do this. I don’t like my food touching or even sharing.”

This user jibed: “Suddenly I love having a strict mom.” A fourth questioned: “Why though?”

And, another noted: “I can’t get behind others slobber forks in my food. I’d be in the bathroom ordering delivery.”

Regardless of any of the comments, the mum noted in the caption: “Not sure we will do it again but was fun.”
