‘So… long story but my house got flooded and we ended up having to renovate our bathroom. Before and after shots! What do you think?’ she captioned the Facebook post.

The bathroom also has a corner shower, matching black taps and a bathtub caddy from Kmart.

Belinda said the whole renovation was affordable as she received a discounted quote and overall rate.

Within 12 hours of sharing the images on social media, more than 1,600 parents ‘liked’ the post and were impressed with the outcome.

‘Wow. You must be grateful for the flooding now. Looks great,’ one woman wrote.

‘8,000!! That’s mind blowing! I had a guy quoted me $2,000 just to resurface my cracked shower base (I’m in Melbourne),’ another said.

A third poked fun and said: ‘Excuse me while I go flood my bathroom for a new one.’

The new look was also described as ‘gorgeous’, ‘beautiful’ and ‘stunning’.
