‘My neighbours are so petty – they left me a rude note for laughing too loudly’

You can't chose who you live next door to – and this can be problematic.

One influencer recently discovered how awkward it can be after she revealed her neighbour sent her a "petty" note.

Leyla Lahouar, 27, a former German Bachelor contestant, said one of her neighbours sent her a letter to complain about her "unbearable" laugh.

The stunner, from Frankfurt, has nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram, but she said she's grown tired of receiving letters about her loud laugh.

She said: "Recently, an anonymous note came to me: I shouldn't hold any more meetings on the balcony after 10pm. My laugh is too loud."

And, when you read the letter, it's clear the neighbours didn't hold back.

The aggressive note read: "Your unspeakable, indescribable laughter is so loud, extreme, unbearable and intolerable.

"From 10pm. There is a quiet time according to the house rules."

A second note then stated she was "too loud" on her balcony, but Leyla claims she "wasn't even home" when the alleged incident was said to have taken place.

The note read: "Be quiet in the flat! After long, reckless balcony meetings and telephoning on the balcony into the night. It was quiet in the condominium before."

Now the influencer has been left stunned by the accusations.

She added: "I rang off all the residents of the house because I would like to know who exactly bothers me that I laugh.

"I enjoy life and laugh, what should I do?

"Sure, my laughter is loud, but what is accused of me is not true."

One person is claimed to have even asked her to add an extra door to her living room as she was so loud while speaking on the phone.

But Leyla said she has to live in her apartment and it's "not her fault" if the walls are thin.

She thinks the people went "too far" by posting a second note.

"I've been with my mother a lot lately. It was pouring rain, I couldn't do anything on the balcony in this weather," she continued.

"Even on days when I wasn't in Frankfurt, I was accused of having parties. Complaints are being made for no reason."

Leyla even accused her neighbours of toying with her car as one day she discovered her windscreen wipers had been twisted.

Despite this, she said she won't let anyone intimidate her, and she's more than happy to stand up for herself.

She said: "I'll find out who's doing this.

"And I will continue to live in my apartment like a human being, otherwise, I would have moved to a retirement home."
