My wife used to love sex and enjoy having threesomes — now she's lost interest

DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my wife and I have sex she says she’s “ticking the box” as part of married life.

Her sex drive is totally shot.

She used to love it and we’ve even had threesomes, which she really enjoyed.

I never minded doing this, as long as I could watch.

Now she’s 54, she says she just isn’t interested. It’s very routine, with no spice

Because of Covid, we can’t have threesomes.

So how can I interest her in sex again, even with me? I’m 58.

I’ll tackle reintroducing another bloke to our love life when the pandemic is over.

DEIDRE SAYS: The chances are, sex with someone else would be off the cards too.

She’s probably in, or past, the menopause and the change in her oestrogen level has sapped her desire for sex.

Tell her you love her and you’d like to enjoy being intimate again.

If she’s willing to try but things don’t feel the same for her, her doctor may suggest HRT.

My support pack, Sex Play Therapy, explains how to build back up to enjoying sex again slowly – as a couple.

I’m also sending you my menopause support pack, which will explain what your wife is going through.
