Netflix Teases Season 3 of ‘Sex Education’ With First Photos, Premiere Date (TV News Roundup)

Netflix will release the third season of “Sex Education” on Sep. 17.

Ringing in a new year, the eight-episode season will see Otis (Asa Butterfield) having casual sex, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) calling it official and Jean (Gillian Anderson) getting ready to have a baby. Meanwhile, new headteacher Hope (“Girls” star Jemima Kirke) tries to improve Moordale’s academic standing, Aimee (Aimee-Lou Wood) discovers feminism and Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) gets a crush.

Also joining the cast this season: Jason Isaacs as Peter Groff, Mr. Groff’s more successful older brother; Dua Saleh as Cal, a nonbinary student at Moordale; and Indra Ové, Elsie’s foster mum Anna. Laurie Nunn created the series, produced by Eleven, and serves as writer-exec producer.

BET Plus announced that the new sitcom “The Ms. Pat Show” will premiere on August 12. Based on Ms. Pat’s stand-up comedy and memoir of the same name, the series will follow a former convicted felon turned suburban mom and stand-up comedian, whose hustle and spirit were forged on the streets of Atlanta. She now finds herself in conservative middle America alongside her penny-pinching husband (J. Bernard Calloway), a struggle of a sister (Tami Roman) and two distinct sets of kids (Theodore Barnes, Briyana Guadalupe and Vince Swann) raised under very different circumstances. Anthony Hill serves as the showrunner, while Brian Grazer, Lee Daniels, Ms. Pat and Jordan E. Cooper will executive produce.

Tinder won their first-ever Grand Prix in the Entertainment Lions category at Cannes 2021 for “Swipe Night.” Directed by Drake’s music video director, Karena Evans, the interactive four-part adventure took Tinder members on a ride of self-discovery and connection where at key points in the experience, they could swipe to move the story forward and see where it took them. Their choices affected who they matched with and what they might chat about once the journey ended.

Jack Black will appear on the final episode of “Conan,” marking the end of Conan O’Brien’s 28-year legacy as a talk show host. Chris Pratt, Michael Cohen and the Isley Brothers & Snoop Dogg will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” while Jon Hamm, Ozuna and Rojo Perez will be on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” will have on Robert Duvall, “Late Night With Seth Meyers” will feature John Cena, Kristen Schaal and Kristina Schiano, and Liam Neeson and Anthony Ramos will appear on “The Late Late Show With James Corden.
