Olivia Luccardi, Eden Brolin, Billy Baldwin Join Horror Thriller ‘Candy Land’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Roxwell Films has cast Olivia Luccardi, Eden Brolin, Sam Quartin, Owen Campbell and Billy Baldwin in the upcoming gritty horror-thriller “Candy Land.”

Written and directed by John Swab, the film follows a young disciple of a religious cult, Remy (Luccardi), who stumbles upon a rag-tag group of truck stop sex workers known as “lot lizards” who take her under their wing. As Remy immerses herself in this new underground world, her true colors are revealed in a way that neither her former family nor new family could have ever imagined. The film has commenced principal photography in Southwestern Montana. It will also star Guinevere Turner, Virginia Rand and Brad Carter.

Robert Ogden Barnum and Michael Reiser serve as executive producers on “Candy Land,” which marks the fourth feature film collaboration between producers Swab and Jeremy M. Rosen. The duo recently released “Body Brokers,” which is a narrative expose about the predatory addiction treatment business starring Michael Kenneth Williams, Alice Englert, Frank Grillo and Melissa Leo. In 2019, their noir crime drama “Run with the Hunted” won best narrative feature at the Woodstock Film Festival. During the pandemic, they shot a crime-thriller titled “Ida Red,” which is set to release later this year.

“On the heels of rolling out our beloved ‘Body Brokers’ and delivering our pandemic-era masterpiece, ‘Ida Red,’ John and I are journeying beyond the wall, so to speak, to create ‘Candy Land’ in gorgeous Montana,” Rosen said in a press release. “‘Candy Land’ ratchets up our usual gritty fare and delves into the mysterious underworld of lot lizards – a ripe and unique setting for a visceral horror-thriller with a terrific ensemble cast, composed largely of friends and repeat collaborators.”

Olivia Luccardi is repped by ICM and One Entertainment, Eden Brolin is repped by Paradigm and Grandview, Sam Quartin is repped by Persona PR, Owen Campbell is repped by Innovative Artists, Billy Baldwin is repped by Innovative Artists and Stride Management, Guinevere Turner is repped by Gotham Group and Brad Carter is repped by Global Artists Agency and IKIGAI Management.
