It was supposed to be vaudeville, but it ended up as a farce.

Patrons at Omar Hernandez’s new vaudeville-themed private supper club, Oh La La, were left starving at the grand opening of the venue tucked away in the back of the sceney French spot La Goulue on Thursday night.

The nightlife impresario’s fancy guests showed up with dinner reservations and were forced to wait hours for food and cocktails. Some fled the restaurant without eating at all.

“It took so long, I thought they ran out of food. We waited two hours for a shrimp cocktail,” one partygoer told Page Six.

Feisty photographer Rose Hartman, whose photos — including a shot of Mick and Bianca Jagger at Studio 54 — decorate the walls, fumed: “Where’s my champagne? Where’s my lobster salad?”

Hartman did get her salad and music eventually calmed the 84-year-old East Village native down. She shimmied at her corner table when DJ Titina played “Native New Yorker” by Odyssey and mingled with “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Sutton Stracke when she wasn’t dancing.

Socialite Pippa Cohen, Chapel Bar owner Josh Wyatt, Brian Atwood, Dori Cooperman, Carmen D’Alessio, Alba DeMichael, Jean Shafiroff and celebrity stylist Gregg Giannillo were also on the scene.

“We got overwhelmed with the amount of friends who showed up to support. Service was less than ideal. [It will] definitely be fine-tuned as we speak,” Hernandez told Page Six.

Guests who were able to hang in there experienced a show Hernandez describes as “my take on New York vaudeville.” Another diner, who stayed, told us once the crowd dispersed, “drinks were finally flowing, and everyone was dancing on tables. It felt like New York was back.”

Hernandez took his private supper club brand to Miami earlier this year after parting ways with his namesake due to a disagreement on how to operate during the pandemic. He launched the new restaurant with an NFT “to send to our most trusted supporters, who couldn’t be there [opening night],” he said.

“This is a very emotional time for me… I opened in Miami, and it’s been quite a fun ride, but New York needs us to show that we are New York. This is our love letter to New York,” he said at the party before taking shots of tequila.
