Peacock Orders Paris Hilton, JoJo Siwa, Ed Helms and Randall Park Unscripted Projects

Peacock is expanding its unscripted offerings with a 13-part docuseries from Paris Hilton, a new music competition series featuring JoJo Siwa and a hybrid alternative-scripted series hosted by Ed Helms and Randall Park.

Hilton’s docuseries, tentatively titled “Paris In Love,” follows the international influencer as she prepares to get married to venture capitalist Carter Reum. The series will feature everything from Hilton’s bridal dress shopping to choosing her wedding venue and participating in, what the network describes as, “what certainly will be a fun and crazy” bachelorette party. The series will also capture the wedding itself, and promises to showcase a “personal side of Paris that only her closest friends and family get to see.”

The docuseries hails from Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Shed Media, Telepictures and Slivington Manor Entertainment. It is executive produced by Hilton and Bruce Gersh.

Forthcoming music competition series, currently titled “The Siwa Dance Pop Revolution,” will follow “momager” Jessalynn Siwa and her pop superstar daughter JoJo Siwa as they create and launch a brand new group. Looking for “the most talented kid triple threats,” Jessalynn Siwa puts those auditioning through a series of performances to select the new members, with JoJo Siwa acting as choreographer and mentor.

The series was developed by Bryan Stinson of Stinson Media and Jessalynn Siwa of Team Siwa, Inc. and is produced by Evolution Media with Alex Baskin, Douglas Ross, Brian McCarthy and Sean Rankine serving as executive producers alongside Bryan Stinson, Jessalynn Siwa, JoJo Siwa and Caryn Sterling.

Helms and Park’s “True Story” (working title) is based on the critically-acclaimed Australian series “True Story with Hamish & Andy” and will be a six-episode series in which everyday Americans sit down with the comedians and actors to share their most “extraordinary and unbelievably true stories for the first time.” As they do, the events are brought to life by other actors and comedians in heightened re-enactments, giving these real people their own biopic experience.

Each episode of “True Story” will include two stories, which span different subjects and genres, including rom-com, coming-of-age transformations and thrilling, period-based heists.

The show is executive produced by Tim Bartley, Hamish Blake, Andy Lee, Ryan Shelton, Helms, Mike Falbo, Park and Tracey Baird, who will also serve as showrunner. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon, Pacific Electric Picture Co. and Universal Television Alternative Studio.

This trio of shows is just the latest to be added to the streamer’s unscripted line up. Previously announced projects include “Hart to Heart,” “Unidentified With Demi Lovato,” “Ex-Rated,” “The End is Nye” and “Frogger.”
