Prince Harry is currently in the UK ahead of the unveiling of the statue of his late mother, Princess Diana.

Princess Diana's statue unveiling could be make or break for Prince William and Prince Harry's fractured relationship, royal expert Duncan Larcombe recently told OK!

The brothers will join together for the unveiling, after being on frosty terms since early 2020 when Prince Harry revealed he was stepping down as a senior royal with wife Meghan Markle and relocating to the US.

The statue was commissioned by the brothers in 2017 to mark the 20th anniversary of her death, on 31 August 1997.

When is the Princess Diana statue unveiling?

This week Princess Diana would have celebrated her 60th birthday, which is why the statue is being unveiled in her honour.

The unveiling will take place in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, London, because it’s believed to have been one of her favourited spots.

The unveiling will take place on Thursday 1 July and the statue will remain a permanent feature at the site.

Who will be in attendance at the Diana statue reveal?

The ceremony has been scaled back due to the pandemic.

Kensington Palace confirmed that Prince Harry and William will be in attendance, along with members of the Spencer family.

The statue’s sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley and garden designer Pip Morrison are also thought to be attending.

A royal source told BAZAAR that William will bring along Kate Middleton ad their three children for a private family moment before the official unveiling.

However, Kate and the children won’t be in attendance during the official unveiling.

Discussing the Duchess of Cambridge’s absence, a source told BAZAAR: “It was always going to be the two brothers.”

Prince Harry has been spotted out and about for the first time since arriving in the UK, as he made his may to an undisclosed location.

Can you go and visit the Diana statue?

You will be able to visit the statue for free after the unveiling as tickets are not needed to stroll through the Kensington Palace Gardens.

The unveiling is not expected to be televised live, with the moment being a small family affair.
