The tray sits inside the hot oven for 20 minutes while the steaming process occurs.

After 20 minutes of steaming the grime and grease will appear as a ‘mushy mess’ and you can begin scraping it right off with a scraping tool.

Next Kacie lets the oven cool and begins lathering up scourer with dishwashing liquid, she reccomends this as a great alternative to toxic chemical cleaners.

What does Kacie use to clean her oven?

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Scraping tool
  • Steel wool scourer

She scrubs the oven with the lathered scourer to remove any excess grime and to increase extra shine.

Kacie suggests using the scourer on the oven racks and to use a blade throughout the cleaning process if it is necessary.

‘So much healthier, that oven cleaner is poison ,’ a woman said.

‘Can I hire you please, I feel like I can actually trust your cleaning,’ another said.

The professional cleaner received praise after sharing her cleaning secret and reminds us that their are healthier cleaning alternatives.

‘You don’t need any nasty chemicals,’ Kacie said.

The professional cleaner from Melbourne also shared the cleaning products she always keeps in her kit and uses while working.

Kacie said she uses magic erasers, cream cleansers, grout cleaner, non-toxic biodegradable glass cleaners and a variety of cleaning brushes to clean.

She shared an insightful video on TikTok outlining the purpose of each cleaning product.

‘We use a Pullman or a Henry vacuum – the size and suction are great; microfibre cloths and good glass cloths for polishing and shining,’ she said in the video.

Pullmans and Henry vacuums are commercial products designed to make cleaning jobs easier to complete, but often have a minimum cost of $299.

It may come as a surprise to some, but dishwashing liquid can be used to clean glass surfaces – such as shower screens.

‘You knew I was going to say this, dishwashing liquid! We also use a citrus all-purpose spray but we’re actually making our own dishwashing liquid that we’re going to be able to put in a spray bottle,’ she said.

To clean marble surfaces, Kacie uses a non-toxic biodegradable glass cleaner.

Grout cleaner is only used when deep cleaning the bathroom, otherwise dishwashing liquid, a magic eraser, squeegee and brushes are ideal.

The kit also included cream cleanser, grout cleaner, magic erasers, toilet cleaner and two types of mops

‘A cream cleanser, any brand [will] do, this is great for shining the sink,’ she said.

Kacie said she also uses two different types of mops – a string mop or a flat mop for gloss tiles.

Toilet cleaner, eucalyptus oil for the mop water and a duster with an extension handle is also included in the cleaning kit.
