Queen Rania of Jordan shares a new portrait with her VERY photogenic family for New Year – as her son Crown Prince Hussein’s wedding date is announced

Queen Rania of Jordan has shared a heartwarming photograph with her stunning family to celebrate the end of 2022 and the start of 2023. 

The 52-year-old wife of Jordan’s King Abdullah II, shared the image to her 7.3 million Instagram followers.

Meanwhile, it was also announced on Twitter by the Royal Hashemite Court that the wedding for Rania’s son Crown Prince Hussein, 28, and his fiancée Rajwa Khaled is set for June 1, 2023. 

Hussein proposed to Rajwa back in August, with the Jordanian Palace confirming the news of the engagement. 

Queen Rania of Jordan has shared a heartwarming photograph with her stunning family to celebrate the end of 2022 and the start of 2023 

In the newly-released family photograph, the mother-of-four is seen looking elegant in a white dress as she proudly poses with her husband, King Abdullah II, 60.

Their children, Crown Prince Hussein, 28, Prince Hashem, 17, Princess Iman, 26, and Princess Salma, 22, are stood behind them smiling.

In the picture, Rania is wearing a long white and gold dress and minimal make-up with her long brunette hair loose over her shoulders. 

She appears relaxed and happy in the snap – with her youngest daughter Princess Salma, 22, on the far right of the photo, looking like a spitting image of her elegant mother.

News of the date for the royal wedding was announced on Twitter from the Royal Hashemite Court 

Rania captioned the photo: ‘Happy New Year from our family to yours! May it be peaceful and blessed one for our beloved country.’ 

The post received 244,000 likes, and many comments wishing the family well. One wrote the family was ‘adorable and amazing’. Another wrote: ‘Happy New year to you and your beautiful family.’ 

The photo comes alongside other happy news – with Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Court confirming the wedding date of the Crown Prince on Twitter.

It read: ‘The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Miss Rajwa Khalid Alseif will take place on 1 June 2023 #jordan.’

The Crown Prince proposed to Rajwa back in August at the home of her father in Riyadh, with both families in attendance.

Rajwa is the daughter of Saudi businessman Khaled Al Saif, CEO of the privately-owned Al Saif Group, and his wife Azza Al Sudairi.

She has studied in both Saudi Arabia and Los Angeles, earning a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in the Californian city.
